Upcoming Alumni Events for Spring and Summer 2009
President’s Outstanding Alumni Award
- Date: Prescott Campus - April 22, 2009
- Date: Verde Valley Campus - April 23, 2009
The awards will be presented at the YC EVENING OF RECOGNITION on April 22, 2009 here in Prescott, and on April 23, 2009 in the Verde.
The Office of Alumni Outreach invites nominations for President’s Outstanding Alumni awards. These awards will recognize former Yavapai College students who are making outstanding contributions in their chosen profession and demonstrate a commitment to community service.
Roughriders and Athletic Department Awards Banquet
- Date: April 25, 2009
Roughriders and the YC Athletic Department will be doing an Awards Banquet on April 25th at the Prescott Resort. More details will follow, but put the date on your calendar.
Nursing Department Alumni Reunion
- Date: October 24, 2009
Preliminary talks have been going on with representatives of the Nursing Department to plan a alumni nursing reunion this fall. Chris and her staff expressed great interest and we began to lay the groundwork. Please contact Barbara Claybaugh, the Alumni Outreach Director, if you would like to be involved on this project.
Past Alumni Events
Rhoads Retrospective Art Exhibit
During February of this year, the Yavapai College art department honored the family of Cathy and Chuck Rhoads, and their daughter Beth, who dedicated a large portion of their lives to the Yavapai College art department. A select grouping of their artwork was on display for the entire month of February. Chuck, Cathy and Beth’s artwork was on loan in the library from friends and family for a special reception to honor and remember these wonderful members of our community!
