Alumni Student Scholarships Funds

Yavapai College Alumni Outreach Scholarship Fund

Creating a scholarship fund is a wonderful way to inspire and support our current students. We have created this fund to recognize the contribution that education has made in our lives and to provide financial assistance for qualified students as they pursue their education.

An alumni committee will meet annually and work with the Yavapai College Office of Financial Aid to select the recipient. Scholarships will be awarded based on need and administered and disbursed by the Yavapai College Office of Financial Aid according to established policy.

Yavapai College Nursing Student Support Fund

These funds are intended for nursing student emergency needs throughout the academic year. We encourage graduates of our nursing programs to contribute to this fund.

A committee of alumni representatives will meet at least annually, and will receive updates and summaries of the use of funds collected. Due to the urgency of the requests submitted to this fund, the Division Dean of the Nursing and Allied Health Department will administer and disburse these funds. The 2008-09 Alumni members include: Phil Hart, Shari Mayne, Teri Sweginnis, and Andi Rudolph.

Many students attending Yavapai College do so on a limited budget. Many others are unable to attend due to financial hardship.
