Debbie Beck - Assistant Director - (928) 776-2139

Debbie Beck is the Assistant Director of Financial Aid. Debbie previously worked in the financial aid office at two of our local colleges, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and Prescott College. She has almost 20 years financial aid experience and enjoys helping students and being part of their success. She focuses not only on current YC students, but also stays in touch with former YC students to assist them with debt management strategies. Deborah Schumacher - Financial Aid Technician - (928) 634-6502

Deborah Schumacher is the part time financial aid technician at the Verde Valley Campus. She has worked in the Verde Campus Student Services department for three years. Not satisfied with the blinding pace of the Student Services front desk, Deborah moved into a position with Financial Aid, where her door is always open, the phones are always ringing,and the skies are not cloudy all day. She is available to answer financial aid questions and help with the financial aid process. Corey received his A.A. in General Studies with Honors in 2001 from Yavapai College, a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Religious Studies in 2004 from Arizona State University and a M.S. in Education from Old Dominion University in 2007. Email Corey Carlson

Greg Gallegos - Financial Aid Advisor - (928) 649-4591

Greg Gallegos is the financial aid advisor for the Verde Valley campus. He began work at Yavapai College in March of 2005. He and his family moved from Los Lunas, New Mexico and are currently living in Cottonwood. He has six years of financial aid experience, four of which come from a two-year college in New Mexico. He has his Bachelor of Arts in Business Management, which he received from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. Email Greg Gallegos

Marcee is the Student Employment Coordinator. Marcee is responsible for on- and off-campus student employment, Federal Work Study, and, along with Michael Brown in Career Services, Career Fair. She has worked at Yavapai College for nine years in several student services positions. Marcee received her Master’s of Education in Human Relations and Counseling from Northern Arizona University. Michelle is a Financial Aid Advisor at the Prescott Campus who serves students whose last names begin with letters A – G. She is new to Yavapai College but has 12 years of Financial Aid experience from Embry Riddle, Arizona State University, and Northern Arizona University. Carol Lynn Powell - Financial Aid Technician- (928) 717-7175

Carol Lynn Powell is the PT Financial Aid Technician at the Prescott Campus. Carol Lynn retired from Bank One as a Corporate Officer and retired with the U.S. Navy Reserves after 25 years. Carol Lynn joined Yavapai College in 2002 and has worked in Advising and Student Employment before joining us in Financial Aid! Email Carol Lynn

Eric Abeyta - Financial Aid Technician- (928) 717-7640

Eric moved from Grand Junction Colorado to Prescott in September 2008. He joined the Financial Aid team in October 2008 as a Part time Financial Aid Technician. Eric is also a Detention Officer for the Yavapai County Government where he spends some evenings and weekends working with the troubled teenagers of Yavapai County. He has some college experience at Bob Jones University in South Carolina and at Mesa State College in Grand Junction Colorado. When he is not working, you will most likely find him out on the golf course as he thoroughly enjoys playing golf. Email Eric
