Navajo Nation Scholarship (NNS)

- Amount: Awards range between $200 and $4,700
- Eligibility: Application process is directly through the Scholarship Office of the Navajo Nation. Students must submit FAFSA and have financial need, be ranked in top thirty (30%) of high school class, or achieved a score of 17 or greater on the enhanced American College Test (ACT), and enroll in degree program.
Additional Required Forms for the NNS
- Navajo Tribal Scholarship Application with signed contract on reverse side.
- Certificate of Indian Blood - original and officially sealed to verify legal enrollment with Navajo Nation.
- Transcript(s) - First year students must submit a high school transcript reflecting final class ranking, ACT scores, and date of graduation.
- Financial Need Analysis (FNA) - students must complete the FAFSA by April 1. The FNA must be submitted to the financial aid office each year prior to May 25, for processing the FNA to the Scholarship Office by the June 25th deadline date.

The Hopi Tribe Scholarship

- Eligibility: Must be an enrolled member of the Hopi Tribe. Must be a High School Graduate or earned a GED certificate. Must be admitted to a regionally accredited college/university. Must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) & have applied for all federal, state, and institutional aid before being considered for HTGSP funding. Must meet the Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) requirement for the particular aid you are applying for.
Additional Required Forms for the Hopi Tribe Scholarship
- HTGSP Application completely filled out and signed.
- Statement of Goals filled out and signed.
- Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) fill out part I only and send to financial aid office of the institution you will attend
- Verification of Hopi Enrollment Form (needs to be submitted once).
- Official High School Transcripts (high school transcripts must show ACT scores, SAT scores, or class ranking) or official GED test scores must be sent from school or institution in sealed envelope (HS or GED transcripts need to be submitted once).
- Official transcripts from all post secondary schools you have attended and/or are currently attending and must be sent from school in a sealed envelope.
Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Grants

- Amount: Awards range between $200-$4,200
- Eligibility: Students must submit FAFSA and have financial need
Each Tribal Higher Education Office has their own Financial Need Analysis (FNA) form to complete. It is the student's responsibility to be aware of all tribal office deadlines.
The student must have a completed financial aid file before the FNA can be forwarded to the appropriate Tribal Higher Education Office.
