Nursing & Allied Health Division

Yavapai College offers the nursing program on the Prescott, AZ and Verde Valley (Clarkdale, AZ) campuses. Verde Valley nursing students will be required to travel to Prescott for occasional selected experiences. Allied Health courses are offered on the Prescott, Verde Valley (Clarkdale) campuses and online.

All nursing students are required to travel to off-campus clinical activities. The College does not offer nursing courses in extension locations. Students in Allied Health programs will also have some off-campus experiences notably the internship components.

Allied Health Programs

Allied Health programs currently offered are: Health Information Management, Medical Assisting, Medical Transcription, Nurse Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy Certificate, and Radiology. For program descriptions click on this link.

Nursing Program

The Associate Degree Nursing program is designed to prepare qualified students for beginning employment as staff nurses giving direct care to clients. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing and will be eligible to apply to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
