Though Governor Ducey has ended the AZ State of Emergency as of March 30, 2022, covid continues to ebb and flow throughout our community, and likely will for some time. Under these circumstances, YC continues to take the needed steps for creating a safe and healthy environment.

Yavapai College continues to maintain healthy campus environments and encourages students, employees, and visitors to take reasonable precautions when they are sick or have been exposed to COVID-19.

Yavapai College uses building, sanitation, and cleaning practices intended to support healthier shared spaces throughout the district.
YC follows recognized practices for maintaining healthy buildings, including increasing outside-air intake where systems permit, supporting effective filtration, and managing airflow in occupied spaces.
College buildings generally average six to eight air exchanges per hour, with additional outside air supplied in laboratory spaces. Larger HVAC systems use MERV 13 filtration, and some systems also use ultraviolet treatment.
Face coverings are not generally required. Individuals may choose to wear a mask at any time based on personal preference, health needs, exposure, or current public-health recommendations.
