Automotive Body Paint and Collision Repair
The Auto Body Paint and Collision Repair courses prepare students for entry-level positions in automotive body and paint facilities where basic knowledge of bodywork, paint, and upholstery are part of the daily routine in repairing automobile paint and body problems, as well as creating custom automobiles.
In some cases, certain companies specialize in things such as upholstery. It is possible to be hired with just that specific class for jobs in that area. These courses provide the foundation for the Yavapai College Certificate in AutoBody paint and Collision Repair.
Students may take I-Car certification exams along the way, which may help getting gainfully employed.

These courses provide the foundation for Yavapai College Certificates and degree programs including Automotive technology. Students may take ASE tests for certifications, which can help getting gainfully employed.

Bookkeeping Certificate
The Bookkeeping certificate prepares students for entry-level positions in a variety of business and office settings where basic knowledge of bookkeeping is required.
This certificate provides the foundation for several other certificate programs: Administrative Professional, Advanced Bookkeeping, Basic Tax and Accounting Assistant.

Business Office Basic Certificate
The Business Office - Basic Certificate is designed to give students foundational skills they need for entry-level clerical, receptionist, and information-sharing positions in a variety of business and office settings.

Care Giver
The Assisted Living Facility (ALF) Caregiver Certificate program prepares individuals to be caregivers in assisted living homes, facilities, or home health agencies.
The program meets the requirements of the Arizona Board of Nursing Care Institution Administrators & Assisted Living Facility Manager (NCIA). Students may complete the ALF Caregiver Certificate program by one of two routes.

- Option one allows students without a prior background in healthcare to acquire the required knowledge and skills to perform as a caregiver.

- Option two allows for Certified or Licensed Nursing Assistants to acquire the additional knowledge and skills needed for performance of the caregiver role.

Note: This option is designed for a Certified or Licensed Nursing Assistant with the state of Arizona who is in "good standing". Admission by application. Requires Dean approval.
Commercial Driving Training (CDL)
In as quickly as four weeks, the Commercial Driver Training program provides 30 hours of hands-on instruction, enabling students to attain an Arizona Class A commercial driver’s license.
With more than 2,000 CDL openings in the state of Arizona alone, students who complete the program will have no trouble finding profitable work in over-the-road trucking, local hauling and delivery, and specialized heavy vehicle operation. Entry-level salaries are currently around $40,000 per year.

CNC Machining
The CNC machining courses prepare students for entry-level positions in a variety of machining business settings where basic knowledge of designing and machining many parts used in hundreds of industries is required.
These courses provide the foundation for other Yavapai College Certificates and degree programs including Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, and Computer Numerical Controlled Machining. Students may test for certified HAAS CNC Operator, or certified HAAS Tool Setter.

Construction Building Technology
The Construction program has classes that offer paid internships and hands-on training which will prepare students for careers in residential carpentry, plumbing, or electric. Students will learn tool operation, blueprint reading, layout, framing, flooring, AC/DC electrical system principles and installation, cable television and data transmission systems, codes and standards, and water and waste systems.
Arizona currently has more than 3,000 job openings. In the United States, growth is expected to climb to more than 790,000 new jobs by 2024. Average starting pay for entry-level workers is around $15 per hour.

Fundamentals of Leadership
Job title does not define leadership aptitude, likewise, leadership aptitude does not define job title.
Leadership is the ability to empathetically motivate, guide, and build-up individuals. Fundamentals of Leadership is designed to provide students with contemporary strategies, techniques, and skills that assist in the development of personal leadership style that will inspire effective achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

Early Childhood Certificate
The Basic Certificate in Early Childhood Education is a point of entry or a continuation of professional development in the field of Early Care and Education. The Basic ECE certificate includes competencies that will prepare a student to apply for the national CDA credential.

Electronics - Digital Electronics Certificate
The Digital Electronics Certificate trains students for careers in the operation, maintenance and repair of complex electronic equipment. This one semester certificate provides training in digital systems, microprocessors and programmable controllers.
All instruction emphasizes a hands-on approach utilizing sophisticated test equipment. Electronics skills are used in the majority of manufacturing. Local employers include Freeport McMoran, Drake Cement, Cobham, Printpac, and the new business coming to Prescott, Combat Systems.

Emergency Medical Technician
The Emergency Medical Technician certificate (EMS 132) provides fundamental knowledge about emergency medical procedures and techniques.
These include artificial respiration, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, control of bleeding, splinting, extrication and light rescue, and ten hours of hospital training and observation to give Emergency Medical Technicians improved clinical knowledge of the profession. Successful completion of EMS 132, with a grade of "C" or better, qualifies the student to take the National Registry of EMT Certification examination for EMT.

Solid Works for Computer Aided Drafting and Design
The Solid Works course is a one semester course that leads to certification in one of the hottest fields and needs in the world. Individuals who master Solid Works and can draft things are in high demand. Virtually everything made needs to be designed.
Things such as engines, airplanes, houses, tools, ships, bridges, car rims, vacuums, coffee makers, and more all require designs.
If you take the class and successfully pass the Level one Certified SOLIDWORKS Associate (CSWA) test, you could be on your way to a lucrative and rewarding career. Check out the jobs on Indeed and Monster.

The Welding Technology Program courses prepare students for entry-level positions in the welding and fabrication industry where basic knowledge of Arc Welding, Gas welding and cutting, MIG welding, and TIG welding are part of the daily routine in fabricating and repairing items such as trailers, pipelines, sky-rise buildings, firearms, bridges, artwork, and much more.
Thousands of companies have welding jobs globally. It is possible to be hired with just that specific class for jobs in that area provided the student passes the various AWS certification requirements. These courses provide the foundation for the Yavapai College Structural Welding Certificate.
Students may take AWS certification exams along the way, which may help getting gainfully employed.

Management Essentials
Research has proven the role of management, not only is vital in shaping an organization’s culture, but also has a tremendous impact on the overall successful performance of the organization. Management Essentials is designed to provide knowledge and skills to increase productivity and performance in the workplace.

Essentials of Supervision
The Supervisors role is unique and ambiguous because it is the ONLY position to bridge management levels with the operational employee level - no other position in an organization can make that claim.
Essentials of Supervision is designed to provide skills, tactics, and tools to improve and enhance day-to-day management and engagement of employees; such as decision making and problem solving, motivational leadership, human resource management process, conflict resolution, team-building, change management, business communication methods and practices, as well as proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite.
