Native American Celebration Day at YC

Arizona is an ancient land known for its stark natural beauty and Native American cultures. On Sat., Nov. 7, area residents will have the opportunity to learn more about Native American cultural traditions and enjoy tribal dances and performances.  
 
The Native American Club of Yavapai College will hold a Native American Celebration Day on Sat., Nov. 7, 2009 at the Yavapai College, Prescott Campus.  
 
Native American arts and crafts will be for sale from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Yavapai College Performance Hall. There will also be homemade Indian Tacos for sale during this time.  
 
In the evening, enjoy Native American Performances from 5 – 9 p.m. in the Yavapai College Performance Hall. The cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children between the ages of 6–18, and $4 for adults age 55 and older. Children 5 and under are free. Pay admission at the door. Cash only please.  
 
Performances include Birdsingers, Apache Crown Dancers, To di Neesh Zhee Singers and a Hoop Dancer. The arts and crafts sale will continue through the performances.  
 
The event is sponsored by and a fundraiser for the Native American Club of Yavapai College.
