USAF ROTC
Air Force ROTC – Detachment 028
The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) is an educational program designed to allow men and women the opportunity to become Air Force officers while completing their degrees. The Air Force ROTC program is designed to prepare students to assume positions of increasing responsibility and importance in the modern Air Force. The program is divided into General Military and Professional Officer courses.
The General Military Course includes courses offered during the program’s first two years and is open to all students without military obligation. The Professional Officer Course includes junior and senior-level courses and is restricted to those who meet entry requirements or have special permission from the Professor of Aerospace Studies. Air Force ROTC students can gain confidence, leadership training, communication skills, and an appreciation for the military’s role in contemporary society.
