DIESEL TECHNOLOGY
AAS Degree & Certificate (CTEC)
The Diesel Technology Certificate program prepares individuals to diagnose, adjust, repair, or overhaul buses and trucks, or maintain and repair any type
of diesel engines. Includes mechanics working primarily with automobile or marine diesel engines. Students in this program are prepared for entry-level positions in the automotive diesel specialty area, trucking industry, heavy equipment industry, and city/county fleet services areas.
Note: Freeport McMoRan, Inc. sponsor mining programs designed to prepare students for direct employment in the mining industry.
Upon successful completion of the Diesel Technician Certificate program, the learner will be able to: Analyze and repair automotive and light truck diesel engines, fuel system components, electrical system components, drive trains, computer-controlled systems and perform basic service maintenance.
