There are special
requirements for the Arizona General Education Curriculum Certification. Students must complete courses from specific emphasis areas: eIntensive Writing (IWR) eGlobal/International or Historical Awareness (GIH) eEthnic/Race/Gender (ERG).
Refer to the General Education Course list for courses that meet these requirements. Students should work with an Academic Advisor to ensure requirements are met.
Students may not use the same course to meet both a Core
Studies and Area Studies Requirement.

The student who has decided on a major should consult the list of common lower-division major courses for their chosen major. The student who has selected a four year college of intended transfer should also consult the catalog or website of that college for additional guidance regarding their major and courses.
