The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) degree program outcomes are scaffolded on the YC's Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree nursing program outcomes and prepares nurse leaders by building on prior knowledge and experience, thereby enhancing their skills to improve the health and well-being of the community. The program is delivered online, allowing flexibility through distance education. Online classes will be conducted using the college's existing learning management system (LMS) with meaningful interactions.
• The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN- BSN) degree Student/Program outcomes align with the AACN Essentials: Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education and the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) criteria.
• BSN (RN-BSN) students will be strongly encouraged to enroll in LDR 201, LDR 202, and LDR 203 to earn a Strategic Leadership Certificate.
• The new BSN (RN-BSN) degree candidacy for accreditation with the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) is in progress.
