Celebrate Valentine’s Weekend in a romantic bistro setting with the smooth, romantic repertoire of one of the finest Jazz and R&B vocalists around. The Jim & Linda Lee Performing Arts Center proudly presents an evening with the remarkable Sandra Bassett, Sunday February 16, at 7 p.m., on Yavapai College’s Prescott Campus.
Few, if any, performers translate romance into song as well as Sandra Bassett, the Detroit-born Jazz, Blues and R&B singer featured in the JLLPAC’s critically acclaimed Cabaret Series. With her eight-piece band, September Soul, Sandra will take her audience on a musical journey of romantic classic with “From My Heart to Yours.”
Now based in Phoenix, Sandra embraces the musical history of Motown and performs a variety of styles, including Jazz, R&B, Motown and Blues. Her album, Just for You, featuring beloved Jazz and R&B standards, was released independently in 2018 and promoted heavily, with live appearances in the U.S. and Japan.
Sandra’s powerful voice and magnetic stage presence make her a perfect artist for the performing arts center’s Cabaret Series. These special engagement performances bring the audience onstage for an intimate, small-crowd experience, with club tables close to the performers and appetizers, coffee, tea and a cash bar available. Together, they create an immersive experience, and an unforgettable night of music, emotion, and pure entertainment.
