The Test Drive YC Open House recruiting and familiarization day will be held on Saturday, April 23 at Yavapai College’s Prescott Campus (1100 E. Sheldon Street) starting at 9 a.m. The event is free and open to the public.
Participants can sign up for as many as three 30-minute sessions in academic areas such as life sciences, dance, visual arts, computer science, theatre tech, fitness, management, paralegal studies, education and more. There are more than 20 areas of study from which attendees may choose.
“We’re excited to be able to provide members of the community the opportunity to see for themselves the wide variety of academic offerings and top-flight facilities at YC,” said Dr. Diane Ryan, Yavapai College Vice President of Academic Affairs. “Register online for the classes you’d like to test-drive, and check in at 9 a.m. outside building 19 for a fun day of learning.”
Attendees will have the chance to take tours of the campus and its facilities, apply to Yavapai College, talk with a financial aid representative, and schedule to meet with an enrollment advisor to register for classes.
Registered attendees will be eligible for a drawing for a $500.00 scholarship for the Fall 2022 semester and a Chrome Book, sponsored by the Yavapai College Foundation.
Those who wish to attend may register online at www.yc.edu/testdrive. There, you will be able to see which sessions are being offered, learn more about them, and view the overall schedule for the day.
Additional sessions will be held at the Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale on Apr. 30, and at the Chino Valley Center on May 21.
