There are two ways to greet the holidays: 1) Sourly, backing into a festive season that’s coming whether you like it or not; or: 2) Enthusiastically, embracing the moment for all its joy and good cheer. With special guest artists and a heavenly choir of voices, Yavapai College Performing Art Center’s Let the Season Begin! starts your holidays off the right way, Friday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 3 at 3 p.m.
“Let the Season Begin! has always been a magical spot in our season,” Dr. Craig Ralston, YCPAC’s Director of Programming and Development, said. “It allows us to share the remarkable musical talent in our Performing Arts Department, and embrace the holidays, as well.”
Created in the spirit of Prescott’s Acker Night and the Courthouse Square lighting (which makes a great double-feature after Saturday’s afternoon performance,) Let the Season Begin! has become an Arizona Christmas City Tradition.
Yavapai College Performing Arts Center will greet audiences in all its Christmas finery December 2nd and 3rd. Then patrons can settle in for a rousing holiday program that features the College’s full orchestra and combined choral ensembles. Special musical guests include Phoenix Symphony soprano Sarah Smith and Prescott’s own High Desert Ringers, who will bring their musical mastery to your favorite songs of the holiday season.
Tickets for Let the Season Begin! start at $25, with $10 Youth tickets available. The Yavapai College Performing Arts Center is located at 1100 E. Sheldon Street, in Prescott, Arizona. The Ticket Office is open Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.; and Thursdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. For reservations or more information, please call: (928) 776.2000 or visit: www.ycpac.com.
