Yavapai College will host a Small Business Summit in partnership with the Small Business Development Center on its Prescott campus on Thursday, September 21 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The event is free and open to the public. The Small Business Summit will be in Building 19, Room 147 at Yavapai College (1100 E. Sheldon St.) in Prescott. Seating is limited, so participants must RSVP online at https://clients.azsbdc.net/workshop.aspx?ekey=100430024

Event highlights include a marketing panel, a lender panel, and a YC alumni-owned business panel, and networking opportunities.

The YC Small Business Summit is a partnership between the Office of Alumni Affairs, the SBDC, and the YC student leadership and business program.

The business marketing panel will feature Kellie Worthen, founder and owner of the marketing firm District 86 and Henry Ebarb, founder and CEO of marketing and technology company Eightfold Technologies. SBDC Director, Ruth Ellen Elinski will moderate.

The lending panel will feature Lori Simmons of Arizona Capital Source, Julia Ruttle from National Bank of Arizona, and Gerald Tarling of Desert Financial.

Finally, four YC alums share their personal journey to success as well as the roadblocks to building successful, small, and locally owned businesses during the alumni owned business panel. The panelists include, owner and designer of Florian Floral Aileen Casillas, owner and president of Cove Mesa Vineyard Emil Molin, owner of Ten27 CrossFit and private meal prep chef Blayne Soriano, as well as Breeanya Hinkel, owner and publisher of Prescott Woman Magazine. YC Director of Development and Alumni Affairs, Kammie Kobyleski will moderate.
