AAS Degree (CTEC)
Unmanned Airplane System
The Aerospace Science degree program prepares students for careers in aviation as airplane pilots, flight service specialists, dispatchers, instructors, and unmanned aircraft operators. The UAS training is for a wide variety of industry sectors including agriculture, utilities, GIS geospatial, real estate, and others.
Focus is on flight for thermal imaging, aerial photography, video & cinematogra- phy, mapping, fabrication of parts using 3D printing, surveying, and inspections.
Sample of reported job titles: Mapping Technicians, Surveying and Mapping Technicians, Geographic Information Systems Technicians, and Camera Operators (television and video).
