VITICULTURE & ENOLOGY
AAS Degree and Certificate (Verde Valley Campus)
The Viticulture and Enology degree program prepares students for a variety of careers in vineyards (vineyard workers, crew leaders, managers, viticulturists) to wineries (winemakers, cellar workers, lab technicians). Individuals learn hands-on real world, scientific experience in a student run vineyard.
They also learn the concepts of producing wine at the state-of-the-art teaching winery and 13-acre estate vineyard. Experience is gained in the marketing and business aspects of the industry by working in the Southwest Wine Center tasting room located within the campus winery.
Sample of reported job titles: Winemaker, Sales, Tasting Room Manager, Wine Club Manager, Vineyard Manager, Office Manager.
