PRACTICAL NURSING FAST TRACK (LPN)

The Practical Nursing Fast Track Certificate program provides students with the theory and skills required to practice as a practical nurse in acute care, extended care, and intermediate care settings. The program of study combines nursing theory lectures with clinical experiences in a variety of patient care settings including hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare agencies.
• Prior to program application, the applicant must have an active Arizona certification or licensure as a CNA or LNA, or MMP, with one year of full-time or two years of part-time recent work experience; a successful score on ATI TEAS entrance exam; and high-school diploma or GED.
• There are special requirements for admission to the Practical Nursing Fast Track Certificate. It is recommended that students work closely with their advisor to ensure all application requirements are fully met.
• Graduates are eligible to take
the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-PN) to become a licensed practical nurse (LPN).
