Fire Science
Yavapai College's Fire Science program leads the industry in higher education for fire service professional development. Our program centers upon the overall development of the student including best practices in understanding fire behavior, firefighting, rescue practices, hazardous materials, firefighter mental health, safety operations, and fire dynamics.
Our degrees are based on National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and recognized by Fire and Emergency Services Higher Learning Education (FESHE).

YC offers Credit for Prior Learning (CPL).
Through review and examination of previous education may act as equivalent credit hours in your chosen degree path.**
CPL and transferring credits may potentially reduce your total tuition cost and time spent earning your degree.**
