Compensation & Workload
The Adjunct Faculty pay rate for the 2024-2025 Academic year is $989.00 per load hour.
Adjunct Faculty members will be compensated based on each load-hour taught. Some courses are subject to a different pay structure. Pay amounts are determined annually within the budget development process. Please feel free to contact your AVP/Dean/Associate Dean if you have questions.
Adjunct Faculty are appointed on a course-by-course basis, which is contingent on sufficient enrollment, and are paid on a load-hour basis. Adjunct faculty normally do not teach more than 10.2 load-hours in each regular semester of employment; however, they may teach up to a maximum of 12 load-hours per semester should the supervising AVP/Dean make exceptions. Exceptions above the maximum load-hours will require approval from the Provost/Vice President of Workforce Development and Health Sciences. See HR Policy Number: 2.01- Title: Employee Classification and Status for details.
How is your load-hour and pay determined? View the following documents for more information. If you have additional questions, please consult with your AVP/Dean/Associate Dean
