YCPAD Mission Statement
The pursuit of Yavapai College Performing Arts Department is to be the centerpiece for the arts in Northern Arizona. Offering the opportunity to enlighten, excite, and educate through performance, YCPAD endeavors to enrich the community through artistic expression.

Associate of Arts in Fine Arts
The Associate of Arts in Fine Arts degree requires completion of 62 credit hours. This degree is designed to enable a student to transfer to a baccalaureate-granting institution. Students following this degree program will complete university-parallel requirements in general education that will fulfill all lower division general education requirements at the Arizona universities.
The AAFA degree will also allow students to declare a concentration in Music (Vocal or Instrumental) or Performing Arts (Musical Theater).

Technical Theater in Stagecraft Certificate
The Technical Theater in Stagecraft Certificate is designed to prepare students for a wide range of careers within theatrical operations and production. This hands-on experience working on theatrical productions and events in the performing arts and entertainment industry includes a wide variety of specializations in audio, lighting, set and props design and construction, costuming, hair and wigs, and make-up design.

A NEW Technical Theater Building has been added to the Prescott Campus to house the NEW Technical Theater Certification Program, and a new Technical Theater Director, Nathaniel Patterson, who will lead the new program.

Requirements for Auditions
- Vocal: 2 contrasting selections with accompaniment
- Musical Theater: 2 contrasting selections of 16-32 bars and one monologue
- Piano & Instrumental: 2 contrasting selections and scales for wind players
- Technical Theater: Live interview only
- Dance: 45 second video of any dance discipline(s) you have been training in, showing contrast in your strengths.
