Allied Health
What is Allied Health?
Allied Health refers to a broad category of healthcare professions and services. Allied Health professionals work in collaboration with medical practitioners to provide a range of diagnostic, therapeutic, technical, and support services. These professionals play a crucial role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services and may work in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, and community health organizations.
The Yavapai College Allied Health programs have many options for students looking to enter the health care field as a practical nurse, nursing assistant, medical assistant, behavioral health technician, phlebotomist, medical office assistant, and medical records technician.
