About the Day🐐

Yavapai College’s Assessment Day is dedicated to faculty and co-curricular staff from all areas of the college to share and analyze student learning outcomes data.

The day features sessions on various student learning assessment topics and numerous opportunities to interact with colleagues.


Key Objectives🐐

  • Provide professional development opportunities in student learning outcomes assessment for both seasoned employees and newcomers.
  • Connect colleagues to discuss student learning across the institution.
  • Engage in student learning outcomes (SLO) assessment practices in higher education.

Staff and faculty are asked to bring a laptop and any student learning assessment information gathered in the previous academic year.

The finalized program will be available on day of event on September 13th. Check back then for the most up-to-date information with session descriptions, room assignments, and other information.🧭


Schedule At-A-Glance🐐

  • 9:00-9:15 am – Welcomes
  •  
  • 9:15-9:30 am – Review of YC Assessment Cycle
  • 9:40-10:30 am – Concurrent Session 1
  • 10:40-11:30 am – Concurrent Session 2
  • 11:40-12:30 pm – Concurrent Session 3
  •  
  • 12:30-1:30 pm – Lunch & Presentation of G.O.A.T. Awards
  •  
  • 1:30-5:00 pm – Group Work Time (if needed)

Breakfast and Lunch🐐

A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided at the Prescott campus, catered by The Eatery. Details on breakfast and lunch offerings will be announced soon.
