How to Be Roughrider Ready

New Student Orientation is a resource to new and returning students. We tailor orientation to registered students, but we encourage all registered, non-registered, new, returning and continuing students to attend.

🟢 New Student Orientation will be offered in person at the Prescott Campus.

Students who cannot attend in-person will have an online option that will become available 8/13/25.

Learning outcomes for New Student Orientation:

  • Learn about Campus Resources
  • Be knowledgeable about at least one department location and information
  • Enhance student understanding of strategies for success
  • Provide students the opportunity to interact and meet at least one other student, staff and/or faculty
  • Provide students YC promise eligibility and timeline information
  • Learn and recognize the importance of being part of campus activities, clubs and events.
  • Identify and locate key campus resources including advising, tutoring, food services, etc.
  • Understand how and when to connect with student support services
  • Gain confidence and tools needed to be successful as YC student
