FAQs

What is the role of Disability Resources?

Disability Resources provides equal access to educational programs and activities to students at Yavapai College with documented disabilities. We are a resource for students, faculty and staff, providing education and awareness of disability issues. We work with students with disabilities to determine what accommodations or adjustments will be useful to improve access to the learning environment.

How do I register for Disability Resources?

Contact the Prescott Learning Center to schedule an appointment: (928) 776-2085.

Bring the following items with you to your appointment: documentation diagnosing your disability (from a physician, psychologist, or psychiatrist), your most recent IEP (Individualized Educational Plan), and/or anything else that helps to prove your disability. Please bring a copy of your class schedule if you are currently registered.

How long does it take to get help?

Depending on the time of year, it could take up to two weeks to get an initial appointment. It could then take another 2-4 weeks to arrange the accommodations, based on the type needed.

On the Verde Valley Campus, go to Bldg M - room 124.
